Dr. Aparna Govil Bhasker was elected for a second term in the executive committee of the Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society of India (OSSI).
In her previous term she has been an active EC member and helped to collate all the Indian research publications on the OSSI website.
She was also the first author of the landmark publication in Obesity Surgery journal on “Guidelines for patient and procedure selection for bariatric and metabolic surgery in India”. She has also authored another article on growth of bariatric surgery in India which is currently under publication.
She is the only lady bariatric surgeon in the present executive committee.
